Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain – November 2025: Affirming its strong commitment to expanding its expansive and diverse real estate portfolio across the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC—and following the success of its commercial development “1890 Boulevard” in Bahrain—Kanoo Real Estate, a division of the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, has signed an agreement with Mohammed Salahuddin Consulting Engineering Bureau (MSCEB) to provide the Architecture & Engineering designs for its upcoming retail and F&B project, “Pier 1890.”
The signing ceremony took place during Cityscape Bahrain, in the presence of Mr. Talal Fawzi Kanoo, Chairman of Kanoo Real Estate, Architect Thamer Salahuddin, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of MSCEB, Mr. Mohsin Haji, Acting CEO of Kanoo Real Estate; and Mr. Ahmed Salahuddin, Administrative & Financial Associate at MSCEB, along with several senior representatives from both organizations.
MSCEB—one of the region’s most established Architecture & Engineering consultancies with a distinguished 55-year history—has been signed by Kanoo Real Estate to deliver the primary Architecture & Engineering designs for the retail and F&B development “Pier 1890.” Their scope includes shaping the architectural vision and overseeing all design stages and architectural drawings.
Aligned with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Vision 2030, which aims to cultivate dynamic and vibrant communities, and strategically located along Shaikh Hamad Causeway connecting Manama and Muharraq, “Pier 1890” will be a landmark waterfront destination covering a built-up area of 3,500 m². The project has been designed as a lively waterfront hub integrating restaurants, cafés, retail spaces, and leisure areas with captivating views of the Manama and Muharraq skylines.
The development sits on a 10,921 m² plot and emphasizes public plazas, courtyards, and a waterfront promenade to create a seamless transition between land and sea. Its timeless design and family-focused experience draws inspiration from the deep-rooted heritage of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group with a modern interpretation of the heritage in Manama, as well as the Kanoo family being among the key merchants in Manama’s Souq is where the concept originated and where authenticity is manifested in every corner, and the future vision is reflected in the finest architectural details. In addition to world-renowned waterfronts such as Galata port Istanbul and Al Seef Dubai, offering a contemporary architectural language enriched with lush landscaping shaped around the concept of “drops of water.”
